Vault
Emulating a sculpture in the landscape, the house is punctuated by a strong arched external skin that hugs the main living spaces on the ground floor.
Perched on the soft rolling hills of Tallebudgera valley, sits the Vault house. Emulating a sculpture in the landscape, the house is punctuated by a strong arched external skin that hugs the main living spaces on the ground floor. From this emerges two timber clad/screened forms that are home to the more private areas of the house.
Once inside, the house reaches out to the surrounding landscape, pool terrace and tennis pavilions through a series of meandering stone paved paths. Internally, the house is a series of open space living areas which are punctuated by a central spiral staircase and timber joinery pods, with each space having it's own unique connection to the landscape beyond.
