Construction Commences as Trophy Site in Rainbow Bay Nears Sell-Out
One of Southeast Queensland’s most reputable builders, Tomkins Commercial, has today commenced construction on the highly anticipated $100m luxury oceanfront development, Rockpool Rainbow Bay.
Developed and designed by national award-winning firm, Joe Adsett Architects, Rockpool once completed will comprise 21 high-end sky homes all with sweeping ocean views over Rainbow Bay and the iconic Snapper Rocks.
Located at 154-156 Marine Parade and within walking distance to the white sand of Snapper Rocks’ world-class beaches, Rockpool will deliver a signature sub-tropical modernist architectural approach to beachfront apartment living.
Earthworks are officially underway, following 80% in exchanged sales from buyers keen to get a foothold in one of the most highly sought-after beachfront streets on the Gold Coast.
“I am pleased to announce that Rockpool is well and truly underway, and we look forward to seeing our vision come to life,” said Joe Adsett of Joe Adsett Architects.
“Tomkins have been one of Queensland’s leading construction companies for over 70 years and they are well equipped to ensure the delivery of the project.
Tomkins Commercial Director, Mike Tomkins said the company is excited to again be partnering with Joe and his team to build what will surely be one of Coolangatta’s most superb oceanfront developments.
“Rockpool Rainbow Bay denotes another important accomplishment for Tomkins Commercial as we continue to deliver prestigious residential projects throughout Queensland,” said Mr Tomkins.
In recent years the southern tip of the Gold Coast has undergone a significant urban renewal and gentrification, spearheaded by high demand and limited real-estate parcels available.
Mr Adsett reveals that the start of construction will also see an exclusive release of three full-floor penthouses to the market, which will be the first of its kind in the area.
“Now that the project is under construction and we have reached 80% sold, we will be launching the hotly anticipated Rockpool penthouse collection,” said Mr Adsett.
Offering over 520m2 of luxury living, the ‘jewel in the crown’ penthouse collection features five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, three living areas, four garaged car parks, a private wine cellar, fireplace, and uninterrupted ocean views, never to be built out.
The development will comprise 21 bespoke apartments with a mix of three, four and five bedrooms ranging from 245m2 to 512m2 in size.
At the heart of each apartment is a large kitchen with an oversized island bench. A host of tailored amenities will be on offer for residents including a private heated lap pool, sauna, gymnasium, beach lockers and private office spaces.
The tower is expected to come out of the ground this year.
Rockpool has secured funding by ANZ. It's the fourth major funding facility provided by ANZ to the architect-developer in the luxury residential space, most recently after ANZ partnered with Joe Adsett and Tomkins to deliver Botanic, a bespoke multi-residential development in New Farm.
Established in 2010, Joe Adsett Architects are a national award-winning studio specialising in luxury residential architecture, interior design, and multi-residential developments. The firm’s work was recognized for 14 national and state industry awards in 2022, including the Gold Coasts’ prestigious ‘Home of the Year for a beachfront home’ award for its Riviera project.
